Hoover’s Holiday Heating Instructions
Whole Turkey heating
The main event! Your turkey is fully cooked, but you’ll still want to heat it up to serve. Here’s how:
Preheat oven to 325°.
Remove turkey from the original foil (please don't stuff!).
Place the turkey, breast side up, on a cooking rack or shallow pan. Add 2 cups of water to the bottom of the pan and cover with new foil.
Place turkey in the oven and heat for 1.5-2 hours.
When 1.5 hours have passed, insert a meat thermometer deep into the thickest part of the thigh next to the body, not touching the bone. If it reads 150°, it's done! (If not, keep cooking until it reaches 150°.) Don't overheat it – the turkey's fully cooked!
For a crispier skin, remove the foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve immediately.
Please note: individual ovens vary, so all cooking times are approximate. Keep a close eye to keep from overheating!
HEATING BONELESS TURKEY, HAM STEAK, SIDES
Preheat oven to 350°. When it's ready to go, pop your pan in* and leave for the recommended time below. Partially lift one corner of the lid to check doneness – if it's steaming, it's hot and ready. (If it's not, reseal the corner and continue until it's heated through.) Carefully remove item from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before digging in!
*Use care when handling pans – escaping steam can be extremely hot, and the container edges are sharp.
